Department of Physics
Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us. … Then, we’ll learn about forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts in lots of different physical situations. To get the most out of physics, you’ll need a solid understanding of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry. The goal of the Physics major is to provide the student with a broad understanding of the physical principles of the universe, to help them develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills, to empower them to think creatively and critically about scientific problems and experiments, and to provide training.
The Department of Physics involves Classical mechanics, Thermodynamics and Statistical mechanics, Electromagnetism and Electronics, Relativity, Quantum mechanics, Optics, Atomic molecular, Optical Physics, Matter Physics, High energy/ particle Physics and Nuclear Physics. The Department is well equipped with necessary facilities and resources for teaching and higher learning. We have an excellent infrastructure for experimental as well as theoretical physics.
